With Wonder Woman being a box office hit, a sequel to the movie is set to be released on June 5, 2020. The new movie will set Diana Princess to all new era, filled with neon, shopping malls, while bringing nostalgia from the 1980’s. This movie also brings fresh villains like Kristen Wiig’s Cheetah, and Pedro Pascal’s Maxwell Lord.

With the trailer released two weeks ago, many fans are anticipating a comeback of Wonder Woman. The first look of the trailer was shown at Comic Con exclusively, but released the public soon after. With all the hype surrounding the movie, the official trailer has already gained 23 millions views on Youtube.

Jenkins told Collider that she wants to “make a grand tentpole like they made in the ‘80s.’ So it’s as if you — I want it to feel like you’re seeing a movie in the ‘80s. So, we did almost all of our stunts, our fights practically.” Jenkins intended to not use green screens locations, and CGI, instead relying on practical effects and stunt artists. The crew flew all over the world to film the scenes. This was to create a realistic atmosphere with the audience.

Wonder Woman 1984 stars, Gal Gadot as Diana Princess, Chris Pines as Steve Trevor, Kristen Wiig as Barbara Minerva/Cheetah, Pedro Pascal as Maxwell Lord and Natasha Rothwell.

Wonder Woman’s writer/director Patty Jenkins has revealed that the film is completely done – six months ahead of release.

“We’re done. The movie is done,” Jenkins told Collider. “Because it doesn’t come out for a few months, for the first time in my career (which is so great) I was able to say, ‘Hey guys, can you let me fiddle with this? Can you let me fiddle with that?’ So I’m fiddling but the movie is technically done.” When asked on the completion of visual effects, Jenkins confirmed “Oh yeah. 100% done.” “We can share it with the world,” Gal Gadot also saying,”It’s ready.”
