March Madness, one of the biggest college sports events of the year, has been cancelled, or closed to the public, due to the Coronavirus outbreak. Other sports leagues like the NBA, MLB, and NHL, will suspend their seasons due to the outbreak. It’s not only the sports world reacting, as schools, workplaces, and even countries like Italy go on lockdown to prevent further spread of the virus. Celebrities and politicians are also going into self-quarantine, and some of them even have the virus, such as Tom Hanks, NBA players Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell, and Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, wife of Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau.

    There are around 144,000 cases and 5,000 deaths around the world in over 121 countries, according to the Centers for Disease Control and      Prevention. Health official Anthony Fauci states that the virus is ‘10 times deadlier than the flu.’ Streets in countries like China and Italy are completely deserted, people are wearing masks everywhere, and everyone is taking extra precautions in daily hygiene practices.       Coronavirus is now classified as a pandemic by the World Health Organization, according to the Wall Street Journal. It’s now at a level where we should be aware of our hygiene.
