According to bbc.com, as of November 7th, 2020 Joe Biden won over the electoral college and is recognized as the 46th president of the United States of America. Soon, during January 20th of 2021 Joe Biden will be officially sworn into office. (bbc.com) However, Biden’s success is not welcomed with open arms. According to time.com the Trump administration filed multiple lawsuits against Pennsylvania, Arizona, Georgia, Michigan and Nevada for alleged miscounting of mail-in votes. Fortunately for Biden, he will most likely be able to retain his victory due to several cases “tossed” by judges.

Biden’s running mate, predicted vice president, and and former Californian Senator, Kamala Harris will be recognized as America’s first female and first woman of color to be vice president. Cited from rev.com, Together, Biden and Harris during their victory and acceptance speech promised the American people to “beat this epidemic, to rebuild our economy… root out systemic racism…” “make America respected around the world again and to unite us.”

Hopefully, in 2021, under the new leadership of president-elect Joe Biden and vice president-elect Kamala Harris America will prosper.
