Roblox is a game that has been around since September 1st, 2006, but was originally named “Dynablocks” back in 2004. Roblox has over 150 million downloads, and I’m here to tell you why you should get Roblox.

Roblox is completely free to download and there are over 40 million games to choose from. Some of the best games right now on Roblox are: Murder Mystery 2, adopt me, jail break, and bee swarm simulator. Some of my personal favorite Roblox games are, Murder mystery 2, big paintball, adopt me, and tower of hell. 

Roblox is a multiplayer online game, though, in some games it’s single player. You can have up to 200 friends on Roblox, which is quite a lot. Roblox can be played on a tablet, phone, IPad, Xbox, laptop, pc, and more. I suggest playing on a laptop or pc because it’s very easy to get used to the controls, and is just easier to play on. Another reason you should play on pc is that on a mobile device, the game tends to be more laggy.

Controls for pc/laptop are, W A S D, to move around, space, to jump, move your mouse to look around and to zoom in and out, press “/“ to chat. On mobile devices you can use the joystick to move around and the jump button on the screen to jump, you can swipe your finger to look around, and use two fingers to zoom in and out. At the top left corner on your screen there should be a chat box which you can chat in.

On Roblox you can make your avatar for free, but to make it even nicer, you can buy this game currency called “robux”. Robux can be spent on making your avatar, but it can also be spent in games on Roblox. Just make sure you’re going to love that game before you spend your robux on it. Robux costs from $0.99 to $99.99.

There are many different types of Roblox games, including, obbys (obstacle courses), tycoons, horror games, animal games, building games, lgbtq+ games, vibe games, theme parks, sad games, story games, realistic games, role playing games, just chatting games, fashion games, and drawing games, just to name a few. In some games you can play with multiple people, while in others you can only play with yourself or one other person.

During the pandemic, Roblox is a great way to talk and hangout with people. As I said before, there are games where you can just sit and socialize with people, but you can also just play games with them. It doesn’t have to be with your real life friends, you can make in game friends to hangout with as well. It’s a way to stay safe from this pandemic while still having as much fun as you would in real life.

I actually met my best friend on Roblox. After a ton of playing, face times, and chatting, I finally met her in real life. It’s very scary to trust people online, especially meeting them in real life. I don’t think I’ll ever do it again, but I’m happy I did this time.
