Joe’s Checklist: President Biden Is Getting Things Done

“WE ARE LIVING THROUGH A BATTLE FOR THE SOUL OF THIS NATION.” – JOE BIDEN

Now Let’s Get To Work.

President Joe Biden officially became the President of the United States on January 20, 2021. On that day, he was inaugurated as the 46th president and has since immediately putting himself to work, having already signed an impressive 15 executive actions. POTUS has been tirelessly working hard each day to change the United States for the better by once again, returning the United States to the great, accepting nation it once was ahead of its 100-day schedule.

Currently, President Biden has focused on reversing the Trump directive to exclude undocumented immigrants from the official population numbers. These figures are primarily used to distribute each state’s share of congressional seats and Electoral College votes, which provide representation for the people during the creation of laws. On the same day as President Joe Biden’s inauguration day January 20, 2021, Biden ended Trump’s census policy, ensuring all people living in the United States are officially counted and considered as members of the population.

But Biden’s plans for bettering this country and tackling pressing issues, has not, and will not stop there. He and his assigned tasked force have been working to stop Covid-19, as he plans to expand coronavirus testing resources as well as increase the country’s ability to produce personal protective equipment, which he hopes to achieve by leveraging the Defense Production Act.

So, POTUS, What Does This Mean?

But, President Biden, there are a few more things to tackle on your to-do list…

President Biden, alongside Vice President Kamala Harris, and former American Politician, Stacey Abrams who served in the Georgia House of Representatives, has also continuously pushed for the passage of laws to strengthen the Voting Rights Act, which gets rid of any state’s ability to use discriminatory measures during voting. To accomplish this, legislation passed the U.S. House last year but not the Senate. The President has also already signed a huge wave of new executive orders meant to reverse the actions of former President Donald Trump.

In addition, Biden ended the U.S. permit to build the Keystone XL pipeline and has moved to discard more than 100 “harmful” environmental proclamations, permits signed by the Trump administration. Vox.com added that on, “On the first day of Biden’s presidency, he issued an executive order canceling the Keystone XL pipeline — making good on his promise to the climate activists who helped get him elected. However, since then, unfortunately, this encouraged the lawsuit brought by 21 states who say they will be hurt economically by Biden’s decision.

Impressively, in the first 48 hours of his presidency, President Joe Biden signed executive orders to strengthen the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, ended Trump’s border wall construction, and has ultimately begun a pathway to citizenship for 11 million undocumented immigrants. Biden has been working alongside Vice President Kamala Harris, who had been elected Attorney General of California in 2010 and re-elected in 2014 and served as the junior United States Senator from California from 2017 to 2021, who has aided the President in many ways.

Madame Kamala Harris has a stand-out record of drafting and sponsoring major legislation in the Senate, something that two other potential running mates didn’t necessarily have. The pair plan on working together to end COVID-19 and to fix a plethora of other problems as well using a wide variety of new and innovative ideas. Hopefully, they will manage to continue running the country smoothly and allowing America to grow as a UNITED nation.
