On Oct. 19, 2022, our school played Ladera Vista Junior High in a game of flag football. The Panthers came out victorious, beating the Spartans 38-1 after previously losing to Beechwood 7-19. The game started out with an immediate touchdown made by one of our wide receivers, McAnthony DeCastro. After, our defense went out and got a sack by rusher Nathan Chang. By the end of the first quarter, we secured our lead with one more touchdown. In the second quarter, center Devan Rosete scored, but LV picked it off, scoring one point from our point conversion. During the third quarter, our team scored a total of two touchdown passes made by Daniel Diaz and Justin Covarrubias; additionally, we got our second sack from Chang. For the final quarter, Justin Covarrubias made the final touchdown, securing the win for Parks.
