On Nov. 16, 2022, at Parks Junior High, our school won the FSD Flag Football Championship against the Nicolas Knights 48-27. In the first quarter, McAnthony DeCastro scored two impressive touchdowns and one of the extra points, giving the Panthers a solid lead. The Knights fought back aggressively, scoring a couple of touchdowns and delivering some impressive plays. However, the Panthers continued to pull away with Justin Covarrubias and DeCastro scoring two more touchdowns in the second quarter. During the second half of the game, Covarrubias and Daniel Diaz secured the victory, with both of them each getting a touchdown. Once the final whistle blew, the entire team ran onto the field, cheering and celebrating their well-deserved win. The momentous occasion ended with the traditional singing of “The Parks Way,” champion t-shirts, and a shining trophy.
