The Panther Press contributors and editors have decided to start a Young Authors writing contest! So if you want to write a fictional story and have it published, this is an exciting opportunity for you. This quarter’s theme for writing is  Fall and Autumn short stories. Write about whatever inspires you: school, children’s stories, your family, short mystery stories, Halloween stories, and anything related to fall. If you want to enter this quarterly writing contest, simply fill out the Google Survey at the link below, with the link to your Google Document. Don’t miss this exciting chance! The deadline is Monday, October second.

There will be one grand prize winner and two honorary mentions; the grand prize winner’s story will be published on the Parks Panther Press Website for everyone to see, and he/she will also get a prize basket. There will always be other chances to enter at another quarterly contest; just remember to try your best each time. However, at each contest, the theme will always be different. Also, remember it may take us more than a week to read all stories and pick a winner.

Rules to Enter:
– Your story must be school appropriate
– The word limit is 1,000 words minimum and 3,000 words maximum
– Must be your own writing, plagiarism or copying is not tolerated
– You must go by the theme
– Must submit your story before deadline (October second). Any entries submitted on October third and after will not be accepted.
– Make sure your first and last name is on your Google Document
– Make sure you do a spelling check, grammatical check, and a quick edit before submitting your writing. That way it will be easier for us to read and choose.

Before you submit your story, please be sure that it follows by the listed rules.
Good luck and go Panthers!
