In the East Coast of the U.S, on September 13, a destructive hurricane trudged across Carolina, promising nothing but a disaster. Hurricane Florence’s lashing winds, lethiferous floods, and unswerving pours is a nightmare to the people who departed their homes to find shelter. According to CNN news, “Around 1 million residents of the East Coast were told to flee their homes. Many had evacuated, but some chose to stay.” Choosing to stay may be some residents’ biggest mistakes.

Hurricane Florence has done much damage to the state of Carolina. According to CBS news, there has already been thirty-three deaths, and 740,000 homes and businesses are currently without power. North Carolina has received over thirty inches of rain and the water levels are gradually exceeding. Many cars have been flooded with water, and some have completely sunken into the deep waters. This hurricane is becoming a more serious issue as time goes by. There are chances of tornadoes and landslides occurring, which can lead to even more deaths.

Although this category four hurricane had been downgraded into a category two hurricane, it is still a life threatening situation. CBS news states that there have been 90 people rescued from high waters. The rescue teams have been doing everything they could to save communities and their residents.

This treacherous hurricane puts so many lives in danger. Hour by hour, more and more people are becoming affected. What seemed like a small storm turned out to be a horrifying hurricane, killing many. It may seem like the end of the world, but the worst is yet to come.
