SPOILER WARNING FOR AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR AND (IF ANY OF THESE TURN OUT TO BE RIGHT) AVENGERS: ENDGAME!!!!!

With Avengers: Endgame coming out in a little over a month and Captain Marvel having come out on March 8th, theories for Endgame have been running high. Some theories are older ones from when Infinity War first came out, and some are newer ones that are coming out just now. This is exactly what I think will happen in Avengers: Endgame. (Please keep in mind, I have not watched Captain Marvel yet so my ideas my change between now and me watching Endgame) (This will be written in a supposedly chronological order).

My first theory is of how Tony Stark is going to be rescued from the Benatar. This is not an original theory that I came up with. The theory is that Pepper Potts will use an Iron Man suit to go rescue Tony, taking her alter-ego, Rescue, from the comics. However, this theory has some problems. If you believe that Pepper Potts was going to tell Tony that she was pregnant with their child before their call got cut off in the beginning of Infinity War, which I do, then how could Pepper be flying in space to save Tony if she’s pregnant? And as we can see by the Endgame advertisement at the Super Bowl, it has been at least a month since the events of Infinity War, as there are already organizations trying to work their way around half of all population in the universe being wiped out and Black Widow’s hair is long again.

My next theory is that the Avengers will be using the quantum realm to visit parallel realities to collect the Infinity Stones for themselves and use them to kill Thanos. This theory makes more sense than them traveling back in time. By traveling back in time, the Avengers have the risk of the Butterfly Effect. The Butterfly Effect is the idea that if something or somebody were to travel back in time and a butterfly were to flap its wings at a different time than it did before they went back in time. This would cause a series of events that had not happened before, and change the space-time continuum. This is a real risk for the Avengers because yes, they could stop Thanos, by having him never snap his fingers, but they also run the risk of one of them dying in one of the previous films. Hence, traveling to different realities seems to be the safest option. If they travel to different realities and take the stones back to their reality, I believe that each of the original Avengers will wield one Infinity Stone. Captain America will use Time, Thor will use Space, the Hulk will use Power, Iron Man will use Mind, Hawkeye will use Reality, and Black Widow will use Soul. Some people might say that Black Widow and Hawkeye might use the opposite stones, but I don’t believe this for two very obvious reason once you’ve heard them. In the Super Bowl Endgame advertisement, Hawkeye shows up standing in a dark stone cavern, his face illuminated only by a glowing, red light. First off, Hawkeye is the only one with a reality outside of the Avengers. My next reason is that in only one movie has there been a dark stone cavern with a red light source in it. Thor: The Dark World. In the beginning, Jane encounters the Aether in a stone cavern. Some of you might be saying, however, “But the cave Hawkeye is in in that clip has debri and boulders in it.” Yes, but do you really think the Russos aren’t going to add a bit of action to the film. Endgame is going to be slow film up into the part in which they battle Thanos. I wouldn’t put it past them to have Hawkeye trying to get into the hiding place of the Aether while there is a ton of debris and boulders falling past him. The Russos have to do something to keep people from falling asleep.

This theory is fairly straightforward: Iron Man will kill Thanos. I believe this for multiple reasons the first being this. The saddest death of Infinity War was that of Spider-Man. Spider-Man’s death clearly affected Tony very emotionally as he could hardly talk while Spider-Man was being dusted away. Also, the killer wouldn’t be Black Widow, the Hulk, or Hawkeye as they are original Avengers, but they aren’t that important in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as Captain America, Thor, or Iron Man. Thor won’t be killing Thanos as he was the main Avenger of Infinity War. To have Thor kill Thanos, would be to make Thor the most important Avenger, as he already overshadowed four of the other original Avengers in Infinity War. I don’t believe Cap will kill Thanos, simply because it doesn’t fit Captain America’s personality to have him kill the enemy. Of course, Captain Marvel could end up killing Thanos as she is apparently the most powerful superhero in the MCU, but we’ll have to wait and see.

Those are my current theories on what will happen in Avengers: Endgame. Of course, my theories may change between me writing this and me watching Captain Marvel. Especially with the end credits scenes that are sure to come in Captain Marvel referencing Spider-Man: Far From Home and Avengers: Endgame.
