According to Wikipedia, mass shootings are occurring very often. So far in 2019, there has been about a little more than 370 mass shootings, yet the year of 2019 hasn’t even been over yet. The rise of shootings are increasing, and this year may top 2016, the year with the greatest number mass shootings.

People are getting filled with more hatred, as the climate changes and social media energizes the people with unhappiness. The gun control laws are weak, so the citizens take advantage over this and legally buy guns. Forbes states that school shootings are much less likely to happen if a country has reinforced background checks. The U.S has background checks whenever a person buys a gun, but private gun sellers usually don’t have background checks, so many people buy there. CNN states that President Donald Trump has made statements of enforcing gun control, but postponed it to another time due to pressure under NRA and GOP lawmakers.

Though trying to stop mass shootings may seem unachievable with the help of reasonable lawmakers and supportive people, gun control in the U.S may be established, once and for all.
