Brooklynn Ashcroft, Writer

Brooklynn Ashcroft was born on August 19th 2008. Something I remember my mom telling Brook from when she was young, is that Brooklynns mom didn’t name Brooklynn until she was two days old. Brooklynn did competitive gymnastics from when she was 3 all the way until she was 12 years old. She now does other curricular activities like surfing, biking, gaming, and lifeguarding. She was an assistant lifeguard this past summer at Huntington Beach. Brooks' favorite beach is Thalia Street Beach. She likes this beach the most because there are good waves to surf, the water is very clear, and there are nice, fun shops around that area. Brooklynn takes her dog, an Australian Shepherd, Cruiser, on runs almost every morning. And something unique about her dog is that Cruiser will jump 4-5 feet high in the air when he is happy! Brooklynn also likes playing video games. Her earliest memory of playing video games was watching Minecraft videos in 2016 and wanting to get the game. Once she got the game, she played it for hours at a time because she loved it so much. Brooklynn cooks dinner for her family and friends often. Most of the time she cooks simple things like pasta, tacos, chicken, or some sort of snack, but she hopes that everyone enjoys the food. Brook lives by the quote, “It has to get dark before it becomes day again.” I like this quote a lot because if it’s already light, there’s nothing to look forward to, whereas if you’re at rock bottom, the only way to go is up. Brooks' life is simple but she loves every minute of it.
