Carolina Martin

Carolina Martin, Writer

Did you know, a language dies every fourteen days? This is why it is important to write or talk in our language. So let’s make good use of that now. Carolina Martin was born on December 27, 2008 two days after Christmas. Although she was born and raised in California, her parents came from Mexico. If she isn’t writing or drawing in her room, she can be found pestering her older siblings as much as she can. Carolina enjoys playing music, so she is currently taking guitar lessons, and hopes she will learn quickly. Carolina is the youngest of three children and currently lives with her mother, her father, two siblings, and the family dog, Riley. When Carolina was around three years old, she woke up in the middle of the night, her stomach felt on fire. She stumbled to her parents room and alerted them of what was happening. Almost immediately, they drove Carolina to the hospital to find out she had appendicitis. The doctors held her arm down and injected her with a shot. Pretty soon, she was asleep. Carolina woke up feeling fine, except for the fact that she was feeling a bit sleepy. The experience was something she will never forget. Because of all that happened in the hospital, Carolina believes in the saying, “Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory” which means cherish the small things before you lose them forever.
