Ellah Kim

Ellah Kim, Contributor

Ellah Kim was born on the 18th of February, 2008, which happens to be the president’s day of that year. Because of her parents, she ended up traveling a lot from a young age. One of her favorite places she has ever gone to was South Korea where she met up with her friends and other relatives from different parts of the country. Her Myers-Briggs personality type is INTP, which means that she is an introvert that is quiet, thoughtful, and analytical and spends long periods of time thinking of solutions and working through problems. Her hobbies include the arts such as visual art, dance, movie making, and many more. Her favorite medium for visual art is simply a pencil because you can hide a lot of mistakes when using it. When she has free time, she also enjoys reading books and series such as the Hunger Games, Harry Potter, and the Mysterious Benedict Society. Her favorite beverage is water, although in any other form such as swimming or going to the beach, she does not enjoy it as much. When she was younger, she did dance and taekwondo. She did dance for 10 years, starting from when she was 2 and stopping at the age of 12, doing jazz, tap, and ballet. As for taekwondo, she did it for a total of 6 years and made it to a black belt. She enjoys going to amusement parks like Knott’s Berry Farm or Six Flags and riding the roller coasters there. Her favorite roller coaster she has ever ridden was X-2, at Six Flags. Another hobby of Ellah’s is volunteering. She is a part of a youth organization. The volunteering activities range from recycling to making sandwiches to donate to a homeless shelter. When she was 4 years old, she broke her elbow by slipping off a chair and now, she is double-jointed in her left elbow. A quote that is important to her is, “We”ve all got both light and dark inside of us. What matters is the part we choose to act on,” by Sirius Black because it means that the world isn’t split into good people and bad people and that everybody has a little bit of both inside them, but the thing that matters is how we choose to act and treat others.
