Fae Munoz

Fae Munoz, Writer

Fae Muñoz was born on March 29th in 2008, the same year Obama was elected. She grew up in a busy household with three brothers, a cat, and two hard working parents. As a young girl she taught herself to read and soon write. She's always had a love for reading books about dystopian worlds and fantasy stories. Her favorite book as a child was The Extraordinary Adventures of Ordinary Basil which followed the adventure of a twelve year old boy, bored with his ordinary life on the coast of Maine, traveling to magic city in the sky. The book inspired her and sparked her love for reading and writing such books. She’s always been a writer and by having both passion and skill in it, she fell in love. She’s written twice about her parents divorce, both times making the teacher emotional and getting more than a passing grade. While she’s only been given the opportunities to write about nonfiction events, she’s always had a love for fantasy and a passion for writing it. Soon entering speech and debate, she learned how to write and perform at a high level with self confidence and pride. Within her first year she won first place at the Southern California competition in her category and continued working for another two years, soon qualifying for both state and national competitions. Her favorite quote, which doesn’t apply to anything ever, is, “Nobody ever killed or robbed a bank to the sounds of Rihanna or Justin Bieber.” There is no reason. It is simply her favorite.
