Hailey Yoo was born on February 12, 2008. She shares a birthday with her dad, and was born and raised in Orange County, California. She is a Korean American and started her education in Fullerton, California, attending Laguna Road Elementary School. She is now 13, and goes to Parks Junior High School. She has two crazy younger siblings that she loves and takes care of, ”Being the oldest is not the easiest,” Hailey says. Her passion for writing started at a young age. She joined many camps to write and create stories. One of the stories was shared to a school in Texas, for young kids in kindergarten. Besides writing and going to school, she enjoys surfing, swimming, and hanging out with family and friends. She has so much fun with her swim friends at FAST arena. Every time she dives into the cold water she tries to beat her record every time. Hailey has started swimming with her mom, mommy-daughter swimming and she placed 3rd overall in a swim competition for her county, competing with a 50 yard freestyle with a time of 26.43 seconds! One of her life goals is to attend RICE University and become a successful business woman. She went to Texas and visited the RICE university with her friend on a week long trip. Other than that, Hailey continues her life with the quote “Just keep swimming!” by Dory from Finding Nemo.
