Ruby Lopez was born on Oct. 9, 2009, the same day President Barack Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize. She lived in Buena Park all her life until she moved to Fullerton when she was 12 years old. Currently, she attends Parks Junior High as a seventh grader. Her favorite subjects are history and science. Ruby’s family is from Sinaloa and Jalisco, Mexico. Ruby lives with her mom, dad, sister, and her two pets. One of Ruby’s favorite places to visit is Yosemite National Park, she and her family enjoy hiking and having fun. She enjoys listening to music, reading, and shopping. Some of her favorite places in the world are the mall, the beach, and her bed. Ruby’s favorite hobby is painting and doing arts and crafts with friends and family. Her favorite colors are red and pink. Ruby’s favorite food is fettuccine alfredo pasta. When Ruby grows up, she wants to be a physician's assistant. She enjoys watching movies, shows, and musicals like, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, 500 Days of Summer, La La Land, The Walking Dead, and many more. Her favorite quote is, “Distance sometimes lets you know who is worth keeping, and who is worth letting go.”
