Elijah Rosas was born on July 22, 2008, the same year that the first African American president was selected. A story for when Elijah was born is that in the hospital his parents were going to name him Eliah just like the prophet in the bible,“ The Hebrews”. Many people, including the doctors, never really heard a name like that. They recommended changing it to avoid confusion, so he was named Elijah instead. At 7 years old Elijah then attended a magic show with many card tricks. After the show Elijah and his dad purchased a pack of cards and learned their first ever card trick. A couple years later at the age of 10, Elijah first started to play flag football where in his first season playing he had a decent team which allowed him to go all the way and play in a tournament at UCLA on their football field. Not too long after that Elijah decided to try soccer for the first time and in his 2nd season playing, he made the league’s all-star team. His team ultimately came up short, and came in 4th place. One of Elijah's favorite hobbies is to watch the championship game of any sport whether it be the NBA, NFl, MLB, or the MLS. On this day he tends to snack on any foods he can find and just binge watch T.V. Elijah prefers to eat corn chips with any red chili salsa and drink coke as a beverage. Elijah’s quote is, “ Tired is only in the mind” this means that if you are determined to go chase after something, nothing is stopping you except for yourself.
