Elias Hong was born on January 22, 2011. During the same year, The Deathly Hallows Part 2 movie was released, marking the finale of the Harry Potter series. He was raised in Buena Park, CA for the first ten years of his life before moving to Fullerton, CA which is where he resides now. He is an only child and lives with his mom, dad, and a brown goldendoodle named Moose. Outside of school, he enjoys playing video games, a hobby he has always had since his elementary years. Whether gaming on an iPad or computer, with friends or by himself, video games have provided hours of fun. Another hobby of his is reading. When he reads, he can spend hours in the stories of others with the hundreds of books in his room. While he loves to stay indoors and relax, he also treasures his time outside. His favorite sport is basketball and has been involved in it since the beginning of 5th grade. He loves the game whether he’s watching it or playing it himself. In the future, he hopes to play varsity in high school and get the chance to take part in college ball. Speaking of college, he would like to go to a good college in California such as USC or Stanford. He wants to continue getting good grades in school throughout college and set himself up for a great future. A quote that has resonated with him is, “It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live.” Sometimes he gets too ahead of himself and this quote gives him a reminder to focus on the present.
