Erin Kim was born on January 19, 2011, the same day (not year) that the famous author and poet Edgar Allen Poe was born. She was born in Los Angeles and then moved to La Habra. Soon after COVID-19 began, she moved to Fullerton near Sunset Lane Elementary. Sunset Lane was Erin’s first and only elementary school she attended, and she began when she was in kindergarten. Now she attends Parks Jr. High and plans to go to Sunny Hills for high school. Erin’s family consists of her mom, dad, and younger brother. Her mom graduated from UCLA and USC and became a pharmacist. Her dad works in a bakery decorating cakes. Currently, her hobbies are spending time with her family, hanging out with friends, and traveling. Her two favorite places she’s visited were Korea and Maui. Another one of her favorite things to do is to go camping. She enjoys being in nature but really hates the bugs and hiking part. One day, Erin hopes to take a future in business and marketing. One special quote that Erin wants to share is “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” -Eleanor Roosevelt. Erin wishes that one day people may realize that everyone is equal no matter what ethnicity they are or what challenges they may face.
