Everything You Need to Know About the 2033 Fall Dance

Everything+You+Need+to+Know+About+the+2033+Fall+Dance

This upcoming school dance might just be one of the things on your list of goals for the year. Whether you’re a seventh grader ready to experience your first dance or you’re an eighth grader hoping to make memories with some friends, our fall dance is the place to be. If you and your friends plan on attending the dance, you should be prepared for what’s going to happen.

On Nov. 9, 2023, students can attend the dance from 3:00 to 5:00 on the basketball courts. However, you are not able to attend if you have more than one “N” or “U” on your Quarter 1 report card or any major or minor referrals. Also, note that non-Parks students are not allowed and students still have to follow the school dress code. This year, the theme of the dance is “Surf’s Up,” which Leadership revealed to the student body on Oct 20, 2023. Abigail Im, an eighth grader from Leadership said, “We actually pondered on multiple other themes, but this theme felt best to let our students relax and have fun. We’re working super hard to make this dance feel the most like summer, and we can’t wait for our students to go back to summer through our dance!” Leadership hopes that through this theme, students will be able to take a trip back to their summer vacations. On brand with the summer theme, one of the treats the dance will have is Kona Ice (shaved ice/ snow cones) as well as other snacks and beverages. You can also expect some fun games going on and a large dance floor with a DJ. If this all sounds ideal, you can purchase tickets at school for $10 but, if you are going to pay at the door, it will be $15. These may be just a few of the things our school dance is going to include; however, you can expect that it will be a night to remember. A special thanks to Leadership and Mrs. Mundschau for planning this amazing experience!

Soon after COVID-19 began, she moved to Fullerton near Sunset Lane Elementary. Sunset Lane was Erin’s first and only elementary school she attended, and she began when she was in kindergarten. Now she attends Parks Jr. High and plans to go to Sunny Hills for high school. Erin’s family consists of her mom, dad, and younger brother. Her mom graduated from UCLA and USC and became a pharmacist. Her dad works in a bakery decorating cakes. Currently, her hobbies are spending time with her family, hanging out with friends, and traveling. Her two favorite places she’s visited were Korea and Maui. Another one of her favorite things to do is to go camping. She enjoys being in nature but really hates the bugs and hiking part. One day, Erin hopes to take a future in business and marketing. One special quote that Erin wants to share is “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” -Eleanor Roosevelt. Erin wishes that one day people may realize that everyone is equal no matter what ethnicity they are or what challenges they may face.
