Kathleen Hong was born on August 29, 2008, sharing a birthday with Michael Jackson, the “King of Pop” and one of the most notable individuals of the 20th century. Born in Anaheim and raised in Fullerton, she grew up in a large Korean community alongside her parents, grandparents, and two younger sisters. She attended Sunset Lane Elementary School and currently goes to Parks Junior High. She is also enrolled at Troy High School, where she will spend the next four years in the rigorous Troy Tech program before attending university. Introverted and intellectual, Kathleen enjoys pursuing academics (history being her favorite subject), and currently plays piano at CM level 6. She has also completed four years of the Speech and Debate program (not including this year), in which she has placed top seven numerous times. Now, she plans to return to that old passion in the near future. Despite seeming to be the stereotypical model minority, she also enjoys reading, sleeping, eating Korean food, binge-watching, playing video games, listening to her favorite musical artists, and spending time with family. She dreams of obtaining a prospective career and later moving to a rural area to live in peace and quiet surrounded by nature.
