Lucca Kim was born June 26, 2009, the same year Obama announced that the U.S. troops were leaving Iraq. He was born at Hoag Hospital to parents Caroline and Sung. He has two younger siblings who are four and 11. He grew up in Fullerton, where he took part in church since he was a baby. He attended Golden Hill Elementary from kindergarten through 6th grade where he played baseball with Golden Hill Little League. In his free time, Lucca loves playing basketball for the North County Broncos, umpiring for Golden Hill Little League, watching sports, and playing video games. Another sport he enjoys is skiing because he loves being in the snow and the thrill of skiing down the mountain. One of his favorite places to ski is in Park City, Utah, where his family goes every winter break. One of Lucca’s favorite restaurants is Yagi, a sushi restaurant where he regularly eats. He also likes to listen to music to relax, and a quote that inspires him every day is “I think it’s possible for ordinary people to choose to be extraordinary”-Elon Musk.
