The Upcoming 2021 Oscars
A new year means another awards season! And one of the most famous award events is the famous Oscars. Some things to know about the upcoming 2021 and as well as the 93rd Oscars will be that it will happen on Sunday, April 25, and held at Dolby Theatre, Los Angeles, CA as it has been since 2002 with it going to be directed by Glenn Weiss who has done so for 5 previous Oscars. Do not misconceive this Oscar as the Oscar for potential nominees in 2021 since it’s for the 2020 ones. It’s also going to be televised live on ABC at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. Some of the awards that will be given are Actor in a Leading Role, Actress in a Leading Role, International Feature Film, Music (Original Song), Animated Feature Film, and much more. Some of the nominees that can get these awards are Chadwick Boseman, Soul, Speak now, and many more. The Oscars will also not have a host again.
One of the biggest problems that some people question is Covid19. The show producers for the Oscars who are Steven Soderbergh, Stacey Sher, and Jesse Collins have officially stated that they are going to have the Oscars in person and not digitally as there will not be a zoom option for the event. Of course, since it will be held as an in-person event, there will be some procedures to ensure safety for the people attending it. There will be testing cadences to see if anyone has the virus and there will also be a COVID safety team with PCR testing capability. Hopefully, there won’t be any problems that occur during the Oscars or after the Oscars with the people that are attending it.
