On Nov. 1, 2023, the World Series ended with the Rangers winning the series over the Diamondbacks. To commemorate the best player of the season, the MLB awarded Rangers shortstop Corey Seager as the MVP. The win was Seager’s second MVP and World Series ring, his first being with the Los Angeles Dodgers back in 2020. This season, Seager had a batting average of 0.327, had 33 runs and 59 hits, and played 119 major league games.
This is not only a huge achievement for Seagers, but for his team as well as it took the Rangers 54 years to win a World Series. Back in 2010, the team went to their first World Series but lost against the San Francisco Giants. A year later, they went back but faced the same fate when they lost to the St.Louis Cardinals. With this huge win, everyone is waiting to see what Seagers and the Rangers will do next season.
