Courtney Standley, Editor in Chief

Second-year Journalism student, and Editor In Chief, Courtney Standley, was born into a world of rock and roll and mass media essentially making up the very fabric of her DNA. In her free time, this “preppy punk rocker” loves writing, and is a music aficionado (especially when it comes to the Foo Fighters, Radiohead, The Dead, and Ramones.) She’s covered bands and concerts in the press for Blink-182 and Foo Fighters and plans to cover more once concerts and festivals resume. Courtney is obsessed with traveling to places like Panama, loves photojournalism, and is a voracious reader of modern classics like “Catcher In The Rye” and “The Outsiders.” You can find her most weekends surfing up and down the coast, and competes on the FAST swim team. Since her first visit to Nashville, she has set her sights on attending Vanderbilt University where she plans to study Media Arts and play for womens’ lacrosse and compete on the swim team. One day her dream is to become a political commentator or executive producer for her own lifestyle programming where she can discuss everything from fashion, to pop culture and politics.

When life hands you a lemon, say, 'Oh yeah, I like lemons! What else ya got?” -Henry Rollins, Black Flag
