Kayla Jeon

Kayla Jeon, Contributor

Kayla Jeon was born on August 27, 2008, and in that same year, Cyprus and Malta adopted the euro currency. When she was born, she came out silent. She didn’t cry like the other babies and the doctors had to slap her back. Ever since she was younger, she got injured a lot. At the age of 3, she was sitting on a high chair and tucked her legs under her shirt and fell off. She got a huge bruise on her eye and couldn’t see from that eye for 4 whole days. Kayla Jeon has a fear of many things. She is the one friend that can’t do anything out of fear. Her biggest fear up till the age of 9 were dogs. The moment she saw a dog, she would cry while running away. Kayla Jeon has done many things when she was younger. She has tried basketball, soccer, swimming, gymnastics, tennis, and dance. She never ended up doing them for more than 2 years. She started playing tennis again and is doing it to this day. Kayla is a younger and older sister of two. Being the middle child of the family, she was very overlooked and broke all the rules that her parents gave her. Between her sister being the star child and her brother being mediocre, every single mistake she made was caught and her successes were slightly ignored. At least she thought so. Kayla started off as an immature kid who thought that she was the best out of everyone else, but slowly turned into a quiet, caring person. Her favorite quote is said by Albert Einstein, “The world as we have created it is a process of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking.” She believes that the way people perceive the world is based on their mindset. Changing the mindset of a person can change opinions and experiences.
