Sama Nemat was born on September 24, 2009, the same year Barack Obama was sworn in as the 44th President of the United States. She grew up with three sisters, two are younger than her and one is older. Sama lived in Jordan for 8 years, moved to Florida, and then finally settled in California. She played basketball since she was in second grade but moved on to soccer recently. When she is not playing soccer, she is usually hanging out with her friends. They like to go to places like the mall, Amerige Town Center, and high school games. She also likes to go to the pool, where she and her family sometimes even go when it's dark out. She’s been able to swim since she was 3 years old and has done it ever since. A quote she sometimes lives by is from Frank Sinatra, “You only live once”.
