Dodgers Find Consistency in Sweep of Cardinals

Although they’ve been struggling all year so far, the Dodgers apparently have finally found consistency in their recent sweep of the Cardinals. Having started the season 13-13 in comparison to their successes in the last two seasons, this season has looked to be a setback year. During the start of the season, the Dodgers have often only had one side of the game working for them. Despite these frustrating setbacks, the recent sweep has first baseman Freddie Freeman feeling “like we’re playing better baseball together instead of one facet good, one facet not.” Perhaps most impressive is that the Dodgers have found ways to win games using different methods. On Friday, the offense and defense shined with seven runs and two great plays from outfielder Jason Heyward. While on Saturday, star pitcher Clayton Kershaw pitched seven scoreless innings. And to round out the weekend, Noah Syndergaard won his first outing of the season during Sunday’s game. Although still not at their former success, the Dodgers are now at a positive record and are hoping to continue the streak through the season.
