LeBron James is an NBA player and is often regarded as one of the best players if not, the best basketball player in history. Though many individuals think of Michael Jordan as the best, there are many reasons why he doesn’t deserve this title. The first reason is that Jordan was not a team player; rather, he was a ball-hog. He averaged 30 shots per game and 4.6 assists while on the other hand, James averaged 10-15 shots along with 6.5 assists per game. While James can assist other teammates and help them get a few points off the bench, Jordan was often unable to do so. Secondly, many teams were being added to the NBA during this time which made the competition much easier for Jordan. During Jordan’s championship reign, six teams were being added which meant that Jordan had less competition. James’s competition has been much harder because now these new teams have solidified themselves in the NBA and have young players to compete against. Lastly, James is a better all-around defender. James has proven that he can shine when it matters the most which once helped him win an NBA championship. While Jordan also has many clutch blocks, none of those blocks helped him win an NBA championship when it mattered most. Though I respect both players as a person individually, I simply believe that LeBron is the more skillful one at basketball.

Gavin Chung, Contributor
Gavin Chung was born on February 1st, 2010. In that same month he was born, an 8.8 magnitude earthquake struck Chile which killed 525 people with an additional 25 people missing. While the Chung family was unaware of the situation, they were focused on their new born son joining the family! The Chung family is from Vietnam but Gavin was raised in Fullerton and soon he would go to preschool in Buena Park called, “Jesus Hands”. There he met many friends there but over time, those friends started fading away like a rock being thrown into the ocean. Out of all those friends, one stayed and still goes to school with him till this day. Gavin was surrounded by love and affection but the only thing he didn’t love was the way his body looked. He began his basketball journey when he was eleven years old and over time, he started to see changes in his body! He wanted to push himself even harder which definitely paid off. Now Gavin likes going to the gym and spending time with his friends. Gavin one day wants to be an investor and specialize in real estating. The one quote he always reminds himself is, “The only person you can count on is yourself.”.
