Lebron James is one of the best players in the game today. He has accomplished many things such as winning four championships and much more. But where did it all start? Where did his skill come from? 

     Lebron James was born in Akron, Ohio on Dec 30, 1984. Throughout his childhood he suffered through and from poverty. He had to keep his feet on the move, staying with different friends and family. On top of that he had no dad and even to this day no one knows his dad except Lebron’s mom. In spite of these challenges, Lebron continued to go to school at St.Vincent-St.Mary and in Dec. 12, 2002, he had his highschool debut. It was there where the “Legacy Of Lebron James” started, averaging 21 points and 6.2 rebounds. 

     When he was in his senior year of highschool, he was the most hyped player coming out, but there was one problem. He had to make the important decision of attending college or declaring for the NBA. After a long wait of anxiety, stress, and tension, he declared for the NBA draft. But now he had to go through the stress of getting drafted or not. The entire world was on his shoulder and not just that, his mom was too; he was doing all this for her and to get out of the projects.

  On May 22, 2003, James was selected as the first pick overall in the first round of the 2003 NBA draft to the Cleveland Cavaliers and his professional career finally started. In the same year, he won the Rookie of the Year in addition to winning back-to-back MVP. In 2010, he made a bold move, demanding a trade to Miami, causing one of the biggest controversies in NBA history. People burned LeBron James pictures, jerseys, and pretty much anything with the athlete’s name on it. On the other hand, in Miami, people celebrated and and waitied excitiely for a great start to the season. In 2012 and 2013, James fulfilled his ambitions and won the championship for the Miami Heat. But soon after, he made his way back to the Cleveland Cavaliers and finally won a championship for them in 2016. However, James’s movements weren’t done there; in 2018, he made his way over to the city of LA where he is currently playing for the Los Angeles Lakers.

     Today, he is known as one of the top athletes in the NBA. Some of his achievements include four championships, four finals MVPs, four NBA MVPs, 13 all-star MVPs, and 17 All-Star selections. He has also won two gold medals for Team USA in the Olympics. James will do down in history as one of the best players all-time.
