On Oct.3, 2023, at Brea Junior High School, the Parks Panthers came out with the win against the Brea Bobcats, with a score of 26-8. The Parks Panthers were up the whole game and their lockdown defense was unstoppable until the end. The Parks Panthers had five interceptions with two of them ending up with a pick-six throughout the game. By the end, eighth graders Riley Shaw and Brandon Kim,  ended up with pick-sixes, which are when you get an interception and take it to your touchdown for six points. The rookie seventh-grade quarterback, Aiden Grajeda, had two touchdowns. One of the two touchdowns on offense was to the star eighth-grade slot receiver, Kyle Han, and the other one was to rookie center, Logan Ploog. The Brea Bobcats were finally able to get on the scoreboard, scoring on the last play to make it 26-8 final. Eighth-grade rusher, Owen Zeiler, said of the game: “We played well, we had a great overall game.” And star eighth-grade girl running back Alondra Holguin added, “They weren’t that good and only scored when we were not trying to stop them.”
