Ashley Lato was born in the Philippines on June 19, 2008. She lived in Cebu City for seven years of her life. The crowded city is definitely something Ashley misses. She loved the friendly people and unique transportation. Ashley enjoyed the breeze and openness of a Filipino transportation called, Jeepney. Ashley grew up being the playful child, who was a little mischievous. She remembers being chased around by her grandma because she wouldn’t stop playing outside. Ashley enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is the second child of three, both her siblings are boys. From being the middle child, Ashley has grown resilient. She is very passionate about art and sketches almost every week. Traveling is something Ashley enjoys, especially in exotic places with stunning sceneries. The most memorable trip she has been to was a trip during the summer of 2018. Ashley had gone whale shark watching with her family. She recalls being less than a foot away from a whale shark. Ashley loves dancing, listening to music, and cooking. When Ashley grows up, she plans to be a well known architect. Although she hasn’t decided what kind of architect she aspires to be, Ashley wants to be the most hardworking in her department. A quote that Ashley believes in is, “Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty, and persistence.” -Colin Powell.
