The Lights Out Dance, A Night to Remember
The Light Outs Fall Dance at Parks took place on Nov. 10, 2022, and was definitely a night to remember. Everyone came dressed in creative neon pieces or in full black attire. With a decorated theatron, hand-made photo booth posters, numerous games, and delectable food, the event allowed students to take their minds off the hustle and bustle of school.
When first entering campus, students were greeted with glow sticks and an opportunity to purchase tickets at the door. Soon after, students made their way to the dance floor in the theatron or went down by the portables where they could play air hockey, giant Connect Four, cornhole, and classic arcade games. In addition, there were a lot of different food options to keep the Panthers full throughout the entire night. PTSA handed out endless amounts of snacks and there was a food truck called Burning Buns; a plethora of various fries and an assortment of different burgers were served, and although it was overpriced, it was still delicious. But probably the biggest hit of the night was the Dippin’ Dots station where students waited in long lines to freeze their lips off with the sweet delight.
Despite all of the games and food, the most popular spot was definitely the dance floor where the DJ played songs from artists such as Bad Bunny, BTS, Bruno Mars, Miley Cyrus, and Taylor Swift to name a few. Upbeat music blared on while students grooved and enjoyed one another’s company. Overall, the Lights Out Dance was another successful event organized by Leadership and gave students a chance to have a stress-free time with their friends.
