Halloween Crowd Crush in Seoul
On Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022, hundreds of people died in a crowd crush in Seoul, South Korea. People were coming together expecting to have fun and celebrate Halloween. However, something they weren’t expecting was a life-threatening crisis. The night that was supposed to be a night of excitement turned into a disaster as more and more people started to gather. There were so many people that they began to trip over other people’s shoes. Bodies were getting jammed to the point where people had no control over where they were heading. Cramped on one side of the street, people began to fall, causing other people to get injured and trampled. As a result, over 150 people, mostly young individuals, lost their lives.
