On June 2, 2023, South Korean boy band, known as Stray Kids, released their third and latest album, “5-Star”, also known as 특 and stylized as ★★★★★ under the group’s labels, JYP Entertainment and Republic Records. The album “5-Star” pronounced as teug and meaning special, was released and is physically available for purchase in three versions; VER. A, VER. B, and VER. C, each having its own unique cover and divergent photoshoot theme. Its tracklist, lasting 36 minutes and 35 seconds, contains 12 songs, most of them being written by 3RACHA, which are three members of the group – Chan, Changbin, and Han. The tracks belonging to the album lyrically address confidence, uniqueness, and aspirations, behind beats of a mix of electronica, pop, and hip-hop. An odd, yet special release, the album highlighted the central ideas of the group’s path of personal growth and identity.
